This morning, Stevie and I suited up for a long walk… to the Post Office. We’ll call it urban hiking, yes? It was about 4 miles round trip and already pretty warm by 10:30am, so I really wanted to keep it lightweight and comfortable. The Everlane Air Tee is on heavy rotation the past two summers because it’s so breathable. And it didn’t fail me today. Now that I think about it, this whole outfit was one of my favorites from last summer. That might be because of the memories associated with it (again!) but I especially remember wearing it around muggy Portland with my two best gals, looking for the perfect midday snack and strolling through some cute boutiques. We took outfit pictures and couldn’t stop laughing, all the way back to our cute AirBnB where we made matching necklaces. I mean it’s the perfect Rom-Com plot (minus the romance). We just had the best time.

Today the Everlane Air Tee was sweaty (as expected) but so lightweight that it dried within minutes of getting home. An amazing feature. The shorts are sturdy but stretchy, so they are comfy and don’t climb into my crotch when I walk — A TOP NECESSITY FOR ME WITH SHORTS. Hell, these shoes were great too. They have always been good walking sandals, from Mexico City to the Midwest. They have a cushy sole with the softest leather. So our urban hike went well, packages were delivered, and we made it back home just in time for lunch.

I am in the size L of the Everlane Air Tee, which was a size up at the time that I ordered it. Now it’s probably closer to my true size, but it still fits great. I love the loose feel of it, the drapey fabric, and especially the longer sleeves. Perfect relaxed tee, IMO. The shorts; I am honestly on the fence about right now. They are TTS, and I do love the fabric and feel of them… but I’ve been drawn to longer inseams my whole life. I can’t help but wonder if I’d be more comfortable with an extra inch or two covering deez thighs. But (!!) I’m going to work with them through the summer before deciding anything permanent. Besides, white shorts are so hard to find, this might be as good as it gets. The sandals run TTS and are on sale right now!
