I had some requests for a tutorial on this hairstyle, after it was debuted on un-fancy.com.
Oh, my hair is embarrassingly dirty in this video. If you saw my Confessions last week, you will already know. But I just hadn’t had time to wash it, and this is what I do when that happens – the trusty side braid.

Just for the record, my hair is clean now! Please let me know if you have any questions!
YAY! Thank you so much for this! I’ve been anxiously checking your blog every day since you said you’d do a tutorial. Can’t wait to try this!!!
If you don’t have dry shampoo, you can brush baby powder through your hair and get a very similar effect. Also, for people who have really thin hair like me, criss-crossing bobbie pins helps them stay in place better. I LOVE your tutorials! Keep them coming!
Yes! Excellent tip xo
Also, to my South African ear, you sound like Charlize Theron. 🙂
i LOVE her. i’ll take that! haha
Thanks! My hair’s probably a bit too short at the moment, but trying to grow it out, so this will come in handy.
i bet you could do a front twist like this? http://www.thismomsgonnasnap.com/mom-style-5-more-friday-confessions-playground-edition/
its the same concept, just with 2 strands of hair instead of 3. i did this often when my hair was quite a bit shorter 🙂
