Another year down. In some ways, it felt like the longest year ever, and in other ways, I can’t believe it’s gone. As I reviewed my 34 pictures from last year, I feel like I’m looking at a different person. I guess in some ways I am. But boy, I’d like to grab back a bit of my youth if that was at all possible. Even if it was just a year here and there.
Thirty-five pictures this year. Next year I’ll do 36. And in five years, I’ll do 40. But all that really means is this: I WILL BE 40 YEARS OLD in FIVE YEARS. Shit.
My birthdays do seem to get better and better though. Today, things were back to the regularly scheduled programming. Had to hit the gym, take Stevie out, attend a parenting workshop. (I did squeeze in a nap and managed to avoid doing the dishes… again.) But I had so much fun the last week, I am just filled up for the moment. Very, very grateful for my spoils. A trip to Vegas. A yummy dinner in Hollywood. A freakin’ Broadway show. We know how to ring in almost-middle-aged! I’m telling you.
And now, 35 pictures on my 35th birthday: First time seeing Noah’s Ark at the Skirball Center. Not really Stevie’s thing, but very cool! Lunch at Veggie Grill Nope. Late afternoon Starbucks run. Thus, why I’m still awake… Hey, 35. Let’s do this.
yay! happy birthday! hope you have the best 35th year ever!
