First of all, did you know Jord is pronounced YODE?? Like Yoda, without the A? I have worked with them a couple times through the years, and this was news to me! To be honest, I like it. Very Scandinavian. And with a name like Jaana (that’s me!) I probably shouldn’t be surprised. Did you know my name is pronounced YAWN-A?? I know. Nobody ever says it right the first time. I forgive you.

Anyhooo… this post is not meant to be a pronunciation lesson, but rather to showcase a new product from Jord. (I’m still saying JORD in my head too). They are known for their beautiful, sleek wood watches. I know you’ve seen them on every influencer from here to Timbuktu. The style is really timeless. And this year they introduced wood-framed sunglasses. I mean, look at these things!

I chose the Louie style in walnut and vintage bronze because I’ve been so drawn to that wonderful whimsical style as of late. Summer just screams for easy, breezy boho feels, and these have that classic look with a modern twist. Now moving into fall, I think they will transition nicely, if not only for the color, but also for the minimal, menswear inspired feel.

As someone with a round face, every magazine in existence told me since the beginning of time that round sunglasses were a no-no. But we know in this day and age, those rules are out the window. We get to wear what we want, and what makes us feel good. And I’m happy to say, I feel good in these.

For starters, they are a bit wider than your typical round sunnies, without being too overwhelming. A nice mix between the giant 70’s sunglasses and the itty bitty ones from 1984. They have adjustable nose pads and flexible hinges, so they stay put all day, even if I wiggle my head all around. Not something I do normally, but you gotta test them out, amiright? And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the gorgeous color one more time. The walnut frame is a clean neutral that goes with any outfit.
