I haven’t made a packing list in quite awhile (for obvious reasons!) But while temperatures here in Los Angeles soared well above 110 degrees over this holiday weekend, my heart and mind took me to a happier place. Sunny San Francisco. I don’t think San Francisco is typically referred to as “sunny”, but over the weekend it just happened to be. Temperatures there were much more moderate and sunshine was abundant. Karl must have been on his own end-of-summer break of sorts.
So let’s just say I was headed to one of my favorite cities in the world, using only the items currently in my summer capsule. I’d need comfy walking shoes, jeans and a light sweater for unexpected (expected?) temperature shifts, and easy breezy fabrics that can mix and match effortlessly. Of course I always include loungewear for any dreamy downtime. And I’m guessing it would all come together to look a little something like this:
Itinerary
I want to stroll down Lombard street and see sights from the top in any direction I look. Maybe take a long walk on the SF Bay Trail from Fisherman’s Wharf to East Beach for a distant view of the Golden Gate. While I’m there, I might as well stop at the Palace of Fine Arts for all its breathtaking grand-ness. I could weave up and down the Nob Hill neighborhood with an unwavering adoration of pretty much every single house. I have a feeling that I’d walk and walk those hilly streets until my legs could barely carry me any further. To finish up my day, I might order some spectacular sushi to eat back at the hotel (since all the restaurants are closed, of course). Don’t forget sourdough, because that’s just tradition. And I’m certain that I would collapse into bed with a full tummy, all too weary and deliriously happy.
Dear Sunny San Francisco, I’m ready to return whenever you’ll have me.
loves,
jaana
I love getting a peek at what you brought (along with a peek at your trip!). You always make styling look so easy.
So glad you were basically with me in my pocket for that vacay! <3
