ABLE recently sent me a pair of their Zell High Tops. We all know this doesn’t happen often. Over the last year I chose not to take any collaborations at all. I’ll be the first to admit, I enjoyed it. No pressure to post cute photos or make sales. No competition. It truly brought back some of the joy to Instagram for me. I’m really in my element when I can share life rather than stuff.
But of course, sometimes there is still that desire to monetize what I do. I am smack dab in the middle of #spendfreesummer. However, when I return to shopping, I try to use the money I earn from collaborations and Poshmark to buy new things. I don’t like to dip into the family funds for frivolous things when I can help it. And it’s not that I even make huge sales, but one opportunity leads to another. And that little $150/month that I’m earning is about where I want my clothing spending to be anyway.
All that being said, ABLE reached out to see if I would share about the Zell High Tops sneakers. I decided it would be a fun project to take on without buying anything. Without further ado (and more over-sharing), here are a few ways I styled the sneakers from ABLE for summer, and heading into fall.
I love this brand because they focus on ethical and sustainable practices in their production. They make beautiful leather bags and earrings too. These sneakers run 1/2 a size small, so I sized up. I found them very comfortable, save for a spot that rubbed on the back of my ankle after about 2 miles of walking. I placed some moleskin padding there and all is well!
