Here is a simple last minute tutorial for a cute pumpkin. This is what I decided to do this year. And by this year, I mean 10 minutes ago during Stevie’s nap. Playing up the ombrè trend. Our carved pumpkins always seem to fail, so paint is the way to go!
Supplies:
- Pumpkin
- 3 paint colors (or however many you want!)
- Regular paint brush
- Sponge brush
- Diet Coke (obviously)
Roughly paint 2 coats of stripes across your pumpkin. Let dry for about 10 minutes. This is where the Diet Coke comes in handy.
Take a slightly damp sponge brush and dip it half and half in the colors to be blended.
Dab it across the line of the stripe to blend.
You can play around with it to get it right, but the beauty of it is it doesn’t have to be perfect in any way!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
you’re so talented!
Genius! I love the colors!
I heart this so much! I just showed one of the kids and he said, “Whoa! She uses Coke?” I said that you loved Diet Coke. And he said, “Um, I’ve never tried it.” – I told him that you like it a lot. HAH. 🙂
