For some reason, I am so addicted to these challenges. When the dates are first announced, I’m always like NOPE. Not gonna do it this time. But usually the day before (or in this case the day OF) I talk myself into it. I can’t seem to resist! I don’t know if it’s the idea of pushing myself to live with less or the hope that I might inspire others or the chance to tap into my creativity or just the online community of #10x10friends sharing the successes and failures for those 10 days, but I gotta do it. They’re not always fun. In fact, sometimes they’re downright boring. But this one? It was probably my favorite one yet.
Here are the pieces I picked:
- Elizabeth Suzann Midi Dress
- Sseko Ribbon Sandals with white laces / black laces / tan laces
- J. Crew Striped Linen Button-Up (old) / similar
- Reifhaus Jumpsuit
- Flat Mules (thrifted) / similar / similar
- Yellow Jumpsuit (made by me) / similar dress
- Orange Lab Coat (made by me) / similar
- Black Linen Top (made by me) / similar / similar; you can custom order in black
- Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans
- Steven Alan Draft Top (old) / same shirt in black / similar
And how I mixed and matched them to make 10 outfits:
I came up with an additional 7 outfits as well, on top of this! I never got around to wearing them because no matter how content I was with the challenge, I was still excited to see my other clothes at the end of it. Plus laundry. But I don’t think I could’ve gotten away with a 10×17 challenge any other time. I’m not exactly sure why this one came together so well. Maybe because I waited until the last minute! But you know what? I’m not going to question. I’ll just roll with it.
loves,
jaana
