It’s a lot of fun to take my nephew places. He has almost the exact opposite learning style of Stevie and you don’t have to convince him to do anything. He actually wants to learn and try and see it all. Well almost all. He is thoughtful and hesitant about certain things, but mostly, he just doesn’t want to miss anything.
When I told him a new children’s museum had opened in LA, he couldn’t wait to check it out. The place got two thumbs up before we even got inside! He eagerly soaked it all in and fluttered from one display to the next.
I’ve taken Stevie to the Discovery Cube a couple times since it opened, and he likes a fine enough, but I never realized quite how much fun it could be for a 7-8 year old. There are awesome challenges and interactive iPad games and interesting displays. We enjoyed everything, from the house inspection game to the virtual helicopter tour to animal grossology. The Animal Grossology exhibit is as great as it sounds. I learned just how much poop dung beetles collect and how a cow makes farts. Important info here, folks. They also change the displays occasionally to keep it fresh. So in the end, it got like 12 thumbs up (2 from each of us).
Was so fun!
