Stay-cation Day #2: Disneyland! (You knew this was coming right?)
We actually went to Disneyland twice during this stay-cation. I know, it sounds nuts. My sister and I just knew that when we went with a bigger group, we wanted to be flexible and not feel like we had to squeeze everything in. So we went by ourselves first and hit every ride we could possibly hit on a Sunday.
My nephew is now tall enough for almost everything. Yay! It was truly a highlight for me to watch his face on some of these bigger rides. He was not excited. He was not scared. He was completely stone-faced. No emotion. Even on Splash Mountain, his face was getting sprayed with water, and I don’t recall him so much as blinking. It was cracking me up!! After the ride, it would take him about 5 seconds to come out of his daze and then he’d say
“That was fun!”
We would ask “Wanna do it again?!”
“No.”
We screamed on ride after ride. We used Fastpass after Fastpass. We ate delicious things. Back and forth from Disneyland to CA Adventure several times. It was a blissful, hot, wonderful, tiring day.
I love how he walks in like he owns the place.
My first time riding the Ominbus.
This is what happens when you’ve been waiting hours
upon end to ride Radiator Springs Racers… and it’s broken
down during your Fastpass time slot.
Oh it was the heartbreak of the year for sure.
Cozy Cone helped him feel better.
Nephew says “Ka-chow!”
And it all ended well when we finally rode Racers.
I don’t even care that this picture is blurry because he was so happy!!
If these pictures weren’t enough of a Disney overload for you, there are more on Photography by Jaana.
