Even though I’m a Disney dork (it’s one of my endearing qualities, right?!) I have never been to Mickey’s Halloween Party. I already spend one million dollars for an annual pass with parking, so I never felt like spending an extra $74 per person to trick-or-treat was really a smart financial decision. Seriously, I sound so cheap in my last two posts.
But I’ve got some friends in high places! Besides the fact that I love this family to pieces and they are our #1 heart roomies, they also invited us to go for half price! I wouldn’t dare turn that down. I plotted my presentation to Paul carefully – and he caught me completely off guard by saying “yeah, let’s do it!” without hesitation. Even a hint of excitement in his voice! So we did it. And we loved it. It was great to spend some time with all our pals and get our Halloween stash started.
Stevie had his ups and downs that day, but I probably don’t need to tell you that. The night ended promptly at 8:30 when he threw up a day’s worth of food all over daddy. And of course, being Mom of the Year, I didn’t even think to pack a change of clothes. So we whooshed Stevie out of the park in just a diaper and sneakers, with a very smelly set of batman pajamas in our stroller basket.
And yes, in case you were wondering, Stevie’s costume was his batman pajamas, with “boots”, aka a pair of black socks over his sneakers. I’ll admit, it was not very creative, but it worked. And it didn’t cost a penny. There I go again.
Like 2 peas in a pod, these guys.
Paul was really, really annoyed that I wanted this picture because he was d.o.n.e. at this point. I told him we’d laugh about the puke incident later and the fact that Stevie was wearing no pants. Too soon?
P.S. There is some video footage to go along with these pics, but you know. Time. Maybe it will be get posted by next Halloween.
Love it! Looks fun. Great pictures, as always.
