What a week we have had!  I haven’t been this tired from sheer busyness in quite some time.  And I’ve been avoiding my computer at all costs.  There is a stack of things on my to-do list and atop my desk and in my inbox that I’ve just flat out been putting off.  Procrastination is so easy when it’s crochet season!  Well, it’s a little hot for crochet season, but it won’t stop me from getting some scarves ready for the 2 days of chill we will have at the end of November.  So without getting too much further behind, let’s talk about Mummi’s visit!

My mom came for an extended weekend during her break from school.  It was so fun to have her here.  She’s always up for anything and she’s such a fun and energetic grandma.  I don’t know how she does it.  Although, it’s probably genetic because her mom is that way.  And it’s probably skipped a generation with me.

We were able to check out Silver Lake Meadow for the first time.  I liked it.  It was cold and wet and there was no playground, but there was ample running space and lots of other families.  Also you get to look at a lake, and you can never go wrong with that.  We also got to our local park and visited Travel Town – just to name a couple things.  I know you’d never believe me if I said we ate out a lot while she was here.  Because that is sooo not us. We never go to restaurants. So I just won’t even mention it.  There were snuggles and giggles and staying up a little too late.  My mom is such a supporter of all we do with Stevie, she doesn’t criticize and is always encouraging.  She even sat through hours of Signing Time to learn a few signs we are working on.  So glad she made time in her schedule to be here.
