Well, I have been getting a little spoiled lately! We planned this date night awhile back – ever since I first got wind that Newsies was coming to L.A. I mentioned to my husband that I’d really like to go and then reminded him. And then emailed him for pre-sale tickets. And then emailed him again when tickets went on sale to the public. Then reminded him again. And mentioned it one more time.
Then the ball was in his court.
And he did good. Under the Christmas tree were two tickets to the musical! Woo! I just had to wait a few months to cash them in. And that happened this last weekend.
We started with dinner at Mess Hall and then enjoyed the show at the beautiful Pantages Theater from our front row balcony seats. The musical was a lot different than the movie, so I was honestly a little disappointed. I couldn’t sing along and quote the film exactly! What the heck! And the accents were hard to understand, so since Paul isn’t a super-fan like me, he had a hard time following the story. But the dancing? Oh yes, the dancing was great! Boys can high-kick!! My favorite part was the tap number for King of New York.
But we all know the real highlight anyway was getting dressed up and spending the evening with that handsome husband of mine. Happy girl.
Oh my goodness your hair game is so strong! Many man points to hubby x
BTW – loving the new hair!!
STOP DOING FUN THINGS WITHOUT ME!!!! 🙂 haha, just kidding. love you, glad you’ve been so spoiled!
