I think I’ve made it pretty clear how much I dislike going to the park, yeah? Every. flippin. day. Yesterday, I just couldn’t. I did not want to do it. So I picked Stevie up from school and right on cue, he said “MOM! BOP!” I told him no.
He flipped out.
But I knew that would happen.
So I offered up some other options and he chose a ride on the subway train. And there was no doubt about it, Olaf was coming with us.
I really tried talking him out of it. REALLY. Because I knew what would happen. Olaf would end up in my possession and make it all the more difficult to navigate Stevie through the city streets. But I could not convince him that Olaf should wait in the car. So I gave him a long lecture about how Stevie was in charge of Olaf. Stevie had to hold Olaf the whole time. Stevie could not leave Olaf on the train or on the ground. Stevie and Olaf would be attached at the hip. Stevie. Olaf. Together forever.
Any guesses on how long that dream lasted?
Stevie would use Olaf solely for photo opps and then hand him back to me!
So I had a lovely time traversing Hollywood/Highland – giant purse, sweatshirts, Olaf in my arms. And a 40 pound child begging me to pick him up too.
And here’s where I take a nap because it makes me tired just thinking about it.
Still better than the park.
Can I come next time? 🙂
Oh Stevie….him and Olaf such a pair! Although you had to carry both of them. 🙂
So cute. At least he held Olaf for some photos! 🙂
