Well, I did it! Chopped off all. that. hair. Here are some ridiculous selfies from right after my appointment!
- I wasn’t that scared going in, because I had already gone though a range of emotions and fears over this decision. So silly that I get all tied up over hair. Seriously though? Knots in my stomach a couple days before. Biggest fear was looking like a dude. But the day of, I was cool as a cucumber.
- My hairstylist, on the other hand, was a bit nervous, as I broke the news to her upon my arrival. She’s the best. It was so cute watching her anxiously chop through my thick ponytail.
- Sometimes I forget that it’s gone! A gust of wind or a glance in a store window quickly reminds me. And when I wake up in the morning, it sticks up in the back, just like Stevie’s hair. It will take some getting used to for sure.
- In the end, it will be much blonder than this, and maybe even a little shorter! (?) That will happen in a couple weeks. Looking forward to completing the look.
- I kept telling myself if I didn’t like it, it would always grow back. But so far I think I’ll keep it for awhile! My husband loves it, so that helps. Can’t wait to play with it some more to see what different styles I can get away with.
Yay!
I like it and think it suits you. You will love it in the summer weather.
