Well, I made it through week one without shopping. Kind of. It wasn’t a quitting-cold-turkey kind of thing because stuff that I had ordered online 1-2 weeks ago started arriving. So they were fun little residual treats to get. But I think the last of them has arrived. And now the real challenge begins.
When I sat and thought about how easy the first week was, I put up my peacock feathers and felt very proud of myself. I was quite hopeful that this would continue to be a piece of cake. But then it dawned on me that I still have 51 weeks to go (fifty one, you guys) and Stevie would be 3 years old before I could shop for clothes again. (!!!!!) Pretty sure I broke into a cold sweat at that moment.
This is going to be…interesting.
Here are some things I had on my radar this week that I just might have bought within hours of setting this goal, if I had absolutely no self-discipline whatsoever. My virtual shopping list.
You know….if I bought the kitty watch – would that make you feel less upset? 🙂
yes. SOMEONE should have it!
Jaana, I’m going to try to get through February without shopping for clothes. I chose February since its a short month…that’s how weak I am. There is no way I can make it through the year like you but I hope you do! Good luck!
haha i love it. i think it’s a great goal! good luck to you! 🙂
oh man, talk about a challenge, but thanks for the birthday ideas 😉
