In case you don’t follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I am happy to report that Stevie is back in school! He got the all clear from the health department – the E Coli is completely out of his system – and he can now resume his usual activities, which include, but are not limited to:
- school
- swimming
- dumping his car collection all over the house multiple times a day
- screaming at me when the wrong song comes on the radio
- wanting “mommy hugs”
- smashing gadoo’s head
- parks and playgrounds
- going out to eat
- collecting sticks
- throwing socks at people’s faces
- making us set up car tracks that take 20 minutes to build and 15 seconds to get bored of
- stomping on the floor
- going to the griffith park train 4 times in one week
- slamming cupboards
- closing mom’s computer while she’s trying to update her blog
- crying for like everything
- saying “hey mom, i’m talking to you!”
- parking his toy cars on his pillow before he falls asleep
- getting angry at the iPad when the cars on YouTube don’t do what he wants
- wanting to eat every 10 minutes
- looking out the window, waiting for dad to get home from work
- getting unreasonably angry when i don’t buy him a carrot juice
- facetime with anyone who will answer
- bending over and making fart sounds
- calming himself with breathing exercises
- wanting the car windows down so he can yell at strangers
Oh life with Stevie. There’s never a dull moment. Thank God for those 2 little hours he’s at at school. And when he asks for “mommy hugs”. I will eat him up with those little saving graces. We also started behavioral training this week and the first thing I learned is the sessions are more for me than him. I’m a work in progress as his mom with so, so much to learn. Help meeeeee.
Congratulations on your release from house arrest! He looks thrilled. 🙂 Now for that vacation! Powlisons have a guest room near Cleveland and we have Autumn too.
i like where this is headed!
I wanna Facetime with Stevie!
we should!
so happy for you!!
