Sunday was the big day! The Congenital Heart Walk of Greater Los Angeles. The event that I haven’t shut up about. The event that I’ve been raising money for. The event that will help fund more CHD research, which we desperately need. You know. That one. You probably donated a couple bucks!
There were a LOT people there! It is crazy to imagine that before Stevie, I had no idea that CHD’s effected so many in some way – and that was just a small chunk of the local heart community, along with our wonderful supporters, of course!
Team Stevie had a strong showing for the Hye Hearts, and we wore our capes proudly. So many people to thank for all the support. Not only the 90+ people who stepped up with donations, but people who helped us make capes and drove far distances to walk with us. Honestly, it was all so appreciated. Money-wise, my goal was to raise $1,000 and we ended up quadrupling that! Shattered the goal. Killed it. It was exciting to watch those number grow each day and I felt so much love and support through that.
Big big hugs and kisses and high fives all around. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way, big or small. Looking forward to next year! Team Stevie is gonna be on fire!
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
