My brother rocks.
He came all the way from Missouri, accent and all, to help us out with Stevie for the weekend – just because he wanted to. Well, it was his wife’s idea, let’s give credit where credit is due!
And it was the greatest.
Where he gets his energy, I will never know. He kept up with our crazy tyke day in and day out. I think by yesterday afternoon he was feeling the effects, but he went out strong!
Stevie was constantly tickled, tackled, thrown up in the air, spun around, and entertained. Somehow, he kept Stevie quiet in those early morning hours, which in turn kept Paul and I cozy in our bed for an extra little while. All weekend, there were Hot Wheels tracks built up, down, all around and modified time and time again. Stevie was in absolute heaven.
Not to mention, we stayed up late into the night with a couple drinks and therapy venting sessions. He’s been through so much the last 2 years and he still had the heart to sympathize with my stupid problems. What a guy.
Feeling so grateful for him and the time he took to come see us. Already planning the next trip in my head. We love you Uncle Mika!
Mika’s my nephew in law. He is one super cool nephew too. He loves my Jessica so that makes him perfect
Those pictures made me feel like I was there! Beautiful. Mika seems like he had the greatest time.
I love the look on Stevie’s face when Mika is playing his guitar. And the one on the train like they are best friends. Every kid needs and awesome Aunt or Uncle! I’m glad that he and his wife were so thoughtful to have him come out and give you a much needed break.
p.s. let’s hope the effects of Mika leaving don’t leave you with an extra cranky kid…. *finger’s crossed!
Oh he’s definitely cranky about it. Haha!
Okay, okay, you guys got your time (which is so stinkin’ awesome!) Let’s see how he’d do with another sister and keeping up with another high-energy kid!!! 🙂 Love you both to pieces!!!!!!!
