Stevie doesn’t take interest in much, so when I noticed that he was imitating the sound of fire trucks going by, I really tried making it a thing. Whenever I hear a fire truck, I ask him “Did you hear that?” (In my best Buddy the Elf voice). And whenever we see one, I take him out of the stroller and let him get as up close and personal as we can, explaining that it’s a “FIRE TRUCK!!!” I might overdo it a little, but I want him to be excited.. I’ve tried doing the same with garbage trucks, but those are way too scary. {I’m not going to lie, I like when he’s a little scared because he clings to me for dear life. #snuggledeprived.}
His Mummi got him a really cool fire truck with all the bells and whistles and lights for his birthday. That’s been a big hit. He sees it, and does the sign for “on”. Once he learns to turn it on himself, me and daddy will love it too!
Even as I write this post, he is seeing the pictures and making a squealing sound. It’s exciting to see him have a curiosity in something. And watch him just be a little boy. I hope his interests will grow and expand sooner than later.
yeah!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this!
