I think it’s safe to say his first day was a success overall. About 10 minutes after we arrived, he told me “all done” and wanted to leave. But the longer we were there, the more he seemed to get used to the idea. He didn’t participate much in the activities – unless food was involved – but that’s exactly what I expected. And exactly why he’s going to preschool! Hopefully he will catch on and be playing and coloring and doing puzzles along with the rest of the kids in no time. I honestly think he will do better when I’m not there, and he gets adjusted to the new schedule. I’ll just stay with him the rest of this week and then he’s on his own! And you know what? I’m actually fine with it. Famous last words, right? But really, I’m comfortable leaving him there and I know it will be so good for him. I feel great about it all right now.
PS, I just showed Mom this post – and she said, “Oh my gosh – they are so good with him.” <3
OH MY HECK!
1. I still can’t believe how old he looks with his hair cut…. same thing still happens when i cut jorel’s hair.
2. he’s so stinkin’ adorable.
3. it will be totally so good for him! it’ll be exciting to see what changes he takes on!
4. when you start leaving him, expect some major breakdowns when he comes home. just sayin’. they can have a fantastic day and then feel safe to break down when they see you. maybe not, but just be ready!
5. love you dorks so much!
i can totally see #4 happening! boo. <3
