A few months ago, I spotted some water balloons at Target and remembered how fun those were as a kid! In the cart they go. Along with a bubble machine, a kite, and a big ball for Grandma’s house. All the things you need for summer, right?
The bubble machine was a hit. The big ball got left in the sun and shrank to a not-so-big ball. The kite is still in it’s wrapper. The water balloons… well, I just wasn’t quite sure what to do with them. Like are we just going to throw them at each other?
The answer to that is yes.
So, the filling of the water balloons was no fun. He literally screamed at me for 25 minutes as I stretched each teeny tiny balloon over the sink spout and sloooowly filled them up. I kept saying “look how cool Stevie!” but he knew better. Just NO.
The throwing at me, however? He did enjoy that. A lot. He had popped all 20 or so balloons within about 7 minutes. Then he was mad that they were all gone.
the moment right before Stevie realized all the balloons were popped
…and the moment right after. you know, when his entire world fell apart and i ruined his life
Yay mom! Good times as always.
I love his face!
