We are lucky this weekend to have a few days that won’t be blazing hot. Don’t worry it’ll be back up in the upper 90’s real soon. And also don’t worry, our AC just broke. Eye rolls all the way to heaven. But today, just for today, we enjoyed a beautiful picnic lunch with our favorite pastrami sandwiches and plenty of time hanging out in the yard.

I get all the weekend vibes with this look because an easy breezy weekend called for an easy breezy outfit. I have been trying to stick with the #monthlystylechallenge on the days that I’ve been getting ready, but today the prompt was “sweatpants”. Normally I’d be all over that action. But just felt better getting dressed and going out. Though I was definitely in sweatpants by 3pm if that counts for anything.

On the heels of the Breonna Taylor verdict, where no one was held accountable for her death, I was really seeking answers and wanting to know WHY. This interview helped me, not really come to terms with what happened, but just understand how it was even possible. And most importantly reminded me that “just because it’s legal, doesn’t mean it’s right.”
